Chapbook Editing
To enhance our book’s creation,
we sought your permission
for your poem’s transformation
to a condensed composition.
Not entirely acquiescent
to our last minute request;
you gave your consent
with tongue-in-cheek protest.
There were other Poets
whose heart-prints were cropped.
It’s painful, we know it,
to have feelings lopped.
Your reply touched our hearts
and our funny-bones too;
We can’t wait to impart
our finished work to you.
