Changing Sides

They dance in the cobwebs,
And tickle the piano strings.
And when it's silent that I seek,
I encounter their silly doorbell rings.

I could name these ghosts that live with me,
A family of yearning strangers...
Their actions seem more friendly,
That is, I don't see the danger.

So, I sing to them when they choose to visit,
And I tell them that I care.
There lives didn't end as expected...
Is this right or fair?

I'm old and I think my time is short as their noble host,
In due season, Ill change my side to join these playful ghosts.
