Change the Is To Was
He once thought her little nuances were cute,
Appealing just because.
But then it irked the hell out of him,
So he changed their “is” to “was”.
She once felt an authentic urge for him,
He was her sexy just because.
But then she had no attraction, nothing,
So she changed their “is” to “was”.
They hadn’t broken up and moved on with life,
And they drove just because.
Driving when an argument erupted,
Their headstones changed their “is” to “was”.
