Notes About The Poem

Image result for pictures of a quiet spring morning out on the porch

Change of Positions

Lime green spider on his web Revealed by the rising sun Whose sunbeams are fractured through pines And its shadows eerily spun The woodpecker so busy now His hammer creates design Does the tree shrink in pain and scream? His work to one tree confined So quiet when traffic stops~still The sound of nature calm Each bird's song penetrates my soul Like a liquid soothing balm The illuminating sunlight Against the clear blue sky Nearly to the top of those darkened pines Soon cool of morn will fly The poet must become the cook Put peaceful times aside Slip into a different role But in heart and mind abide

Another well rhymed poem, Sara. Your view of nature is very comforting and your words to abide in heart and soul are wise. We still must share with the world though it is difficult at times. Have a blessed day, my friend. Bill

Bill, Sometimes it would be easy to stay in a mood of out on the porch but alas, the day has its chores so we can survive. Thanks for the visit. Sara
