Change of Heart

Scars upon the heart grow deeper With every loved one taken from me So lonely as the weary weeper I have learned acceptance frees me to make my peace with destiny Some tears will wash away the pain along the footpaths I have climbed I will persevere and then regain a willingness to re-design my attitude, and cherish time

Sadly when it comes to life, no one is getting out alive. I am comforted to know there is a resurrection and one day I will be rejoined with loved ones.

Carrie, you are an amazing writer. This is so beautiful. I cried when I lost my Mama, 14 years ago due to MS. I feel the depth of your words...Yes, what more can be done than accept and cherish the moments we have. So lonely as the weary weeper...what a line...pregnant with meaning.
