Change My Ways For

I've had a lot of one night stands, & meaningless flings, I've been a male whore
I've pushed love away, wouldn't let it get close
Leaving my heart broken, was the decision that I chose
But you're the girl I want to change my ways for

A new man who's trying to leave his old ways
Who's slowly trying to move past his cold days
I've been scared to commit due to previous heartbreak
I just need a girl who can take my heart's weight

I saw you passing by & my eyes got stuck on you
The way you walk, the way you talk, I love the look of you
I approached you & & we swapped numbers
But straight away I knew I wanted more than to just be your lover

Your eyes told a story I hadn't heard before
Love is a battlefield and your lips made me ready to go to war
Your smile, gave me butterflies in my stomach
Your whole aura gave me a feeling of comfort

When it comes to love, I've never really known what to do
But when we went on our first date, I had a feeling that was new
For years I was never good at the feelings thing
Yet here you are in front of me, and I'm feeling things

I don't feel like running from love like I usually would
You seem to understand the man who's always misunderstood
I don't know what the future holds, but I hope you're a big part of it
If this is what love is, then I'm ready to put my heart in it
