Change

Things I wish I could change are great,
Such as the consequences of my mental state.
They number many,
Like praying for my sanity.
They are never few,
Especially when I will never regret meeting you.
I will never be able to change the way I feel,
Because every time you look at me its just another dreamed fulfilled.
I wouldn't change the color of your eyes,
For, every time I look in them there is another dream I recognize.
I wouldn't change your smile,
For that is what makes life worthwhile.
I wouldn't change meeting you,
Because of you my world continues.
I would, however, change my looks,
To look like a princess in a book.
I would change my simplistic views,
On what keeps getting me through.
I wouldn't change but one thing about you,
But it is my one dream that hasn't come true.
I would change your heart and be the only one you would love and want and need,
The one thing I would change is your feelings toward me.
Yet, I don't regret and wouldn't change the broken hearts in which I have nearly drowned,
For the one moment that you came around.
I wouldn't change my past,
Because without it I wouldn't have found my dream at last.
