Change

A change is bound to occur
Never to be in one’s pace
Life... a little more moving lesser
Have we a forgotten self to chase?

Never to be in control
Simply how time will allow for gradual
Nevertheless to be asked, to be told
The one in us to never once remain as mutual

Haven’t you a life to be believing so much
So much to have a maintaining you
Or a life left to only believing as such?
Separating a self-sustaining truth from what’s real

Yet it comes to us without us knowing
Often belated to only then realize
A lifetime left to be borrowing
Have I a change known to fantasize?

When change is bound to occur
I did not fathom to chase
Life... have I change for a better?
Some self... have I remembered my pace?
