Change

Society has yet to change but
deepen itself in such pain.
All these scream and tears
thrown out after life is taken.
Eyes are blinded by rage for
no real worth of an issue.
Children in the parents arms
dying, parents laid out on
the now cold cement.
How are we suppose to look
towards our future if our
children have nothing to look
up to or they are the ones
with the guns that are ending
others lives.
Our heads should be in books
rather than each others shoulders
or our hands filling up with tears.
We should be looking forward to
achievements rather than a funeral.
We must open ours eyes rather than
these bullet cases, so we can see
change in our future not our death count.
