Change

Mend the life set before me-- change can be good, a fresh start Call a repairmen, it is salvageable-- Sever the old ties, new and improved! Struggles come and go, inner turmoil stagnant this life Struggles between good and evil Self improvement desired but laziness overcomes Spirit of a warrior and muscles of a powder-puff Change, change, CHANGE!!! Never was good enough anyway. Big ideas, that won't come to fruition. Pain and weakness are your closest friend, closer than a brother. Death creeps vermicular upon us all. Continue to walk the road less traveled until the journey's end.

What is important, Doris, is that we sing to that end ... for we poets may be lazy because the flesh offers us a frail comfort zone, but, yes, we are warriors of the spirit, changing the world with our words. All the best to you, have a happy new year, my friend.
