Chances I Never Took

People never enjoy the moment they're always in a rush
They'd rather keep their heart to themselves than have it crushed
If we live by other peoples expectations it'll never be enough
I don't want to be on my death bed and think about Chances I never took

I've faced bullies, depression, anxiety, Bipolar, and I never showed fear
I always try to show love to the people I hold dear
Tomorrow may not come, Nothing but death is guaranteed
I've been let down by many, so I truly cherish those who are there for me

Some hold back, But I'd rather risk it all even if it goes wrong
My poetry allows you to see me naked even though I have clothes on
Anger is one letter away from danger, so I don't make choices while in that emotion
I learned to be smart enough to understand that some things are meant to be left broken

Face your fears, Go after what your heart wishes
Forget what others think, talk about what your heart misses
Show your scars, Love without fear, even if it breaks you it won't kill you
You need to put your heart on the line so you can find the real you

I hope your tears occur rarely, and your smile is sincere
You may aswell make the most of it while you're here
Love, care, Enjoy, Laugh, Smile, go on adventures and follow your heart
Your life is a picture, but it's up to you to make it your own art

People never enjoy the moment they're always in a rush
They'd rather keep their heart to themselves than have it crushed
If we live by other peoples expectations it'll never be enough
I don't want to be on my death bed and think about Chances I never took
