Champagne City
Champagne City
Half her face was covered in sunshine,
An inspired depression that covered
Eyes and became shrouded.
Nights don’t always end in champagne,
Instead are dressed in thick eye lashes,
Powder blue mascara.
There is so much waiting for you but
Heaven is a burnt palm carving a crossed heart.
It all becomes a wound,
So is the hope of
Living.
