Challenged
What’s changed?
You’ve been all right before!
What’s changed to take you to that door?
So much rejection for the fool of the class.
So much derision for your words or your acts!
So much targeted laughter you know but can’t hear.
So much contempt- you burn the bridges in tears!
So now what? What’s happened to you?
There are people that have it much, much worse than this crying pathetic state of you!
Feel bad? Don’t we all?
Feel weak? Well, that’s you an’all!
Can’t sleep?
What’s bugging you tonight?
Oh, those dreams where you refused to fight?
It’s about time that you stood on your own two feet. It’s about time that you paid some board to me!
What’s happened is nothing for the rest of your life. You are too pathetic for a relationship, for a wife. You are like he was, and god knows he was weak.
I sometimes wish I never met him when I see you sleep.
Off you go then, but perhaps this time do it right. There’s a train track and there are trains that run through the night…
