Chains of Steel
These chains of steel locked without a key
Protecting my heart and soul
Of the pain, the torture
The devastation I did endure once maybe more
I trusted all of you, as I opened to share all of me
To face the reflection, watching my heart, my eyes
Bleeding tears for the first time
My heart now breaking through me
I'm forcing it far back
Mending my body with chains of steel
Sealing it closed with the fire light flame
My screams of pain echoes across the ocean
For the world to hear
Falling to their knees, crying for me and my happiness
To shine maybe one more day
My soul bares all of innocence, as the chains of steel
Cover all to protect, from a love that came
Now torn away
The moment my tears, my cry began to bleed
Rushing blood through my eyes
The sight of light has gone from my reach
Left with shadows I can see
The steel's of chains is now complete
Behind my heart I left the key
Until the day I wish to feel again
The day I can forgive again
Then all you have to do is turn the key
