Chains

Although she wants to be set free, There's part of her that doesn't, Knowing that each link to me, Can bring to life what wasn't... The sound of steel chains rake the floor, Seducing her composure, Begging to attach one more, The second we get closer... Such willingness to bare the weight, And pain upon her shoulders, Fuses every link it mates, So they don't become colder... Like iron circles intertwined, That joins our souls together, Consumating us in bind, With passion in a tether... Though the chain between us, Become links between our hearts, It may strain to free us, But will never break apart Terry WWW.WhiteLionPoetry.com
