Chained Heart
Chained Heart
She turns from love, a shadowed flight,
Afraid to face the softest light.
Her heart, though aching, will not yield,
Behind her walls, forever sealed.
Caresses fall like whispers lost,
Each tender word is met with frost.
Affection knocks, but finds no door,
Her soul remains a guarded shore.
She longs to love, yet fears the flame,
The burning touch, the whispered name.
Trapped inside, her heart of stone,
A kingdom cold, forever lone.
She cannot break the chains she’s cast,
The scars of love, too deep, too vast.
So, silent now, she turns away,
And keeps the warmth of my love at bay.
