Chained

Words chained
makes hearts ache
Trying to set them free
is an uphill task
 Hidden in a difficult corner
they are hard to retrieve
No effort bears fruit
Pent -up frustrations increase
No outlet for the aggrieved
Day by day the words shrivel
Chained, they lose their meaning,
their stature, their health
Hoping against hope for that
Illusive freedom
Those words wait for eternity
And it’s after such a long wait
A warrior appears
Who has the strength to free
those words from that haunted castle
Who has in him to delve into that dark corner
Who has the power to break those chains
It is only after such a long wait
That a warrior appears…..
