C'Est La Vie
C’est La Vie
I felt a feeling, intense joy
To meet you at our rendezvous
A bistro at our French cafe
We shared when in the midst of love
Prolonging in our ecstacy
You tapped my glass and sipped the wine
I stared into your blue green eyes
A unique color to behold
First saw you in that French cafe
My gallivanting was to cease
I swore my love forever more
To seal it for eternity
You sang on stage with such finesse
Your octaves sweet and yawning trills
A chanteuse with a gift so rare
I sat in awe to hear your voice
As time when on your voice was still
And your demeanor nonchalant
precarious what lay ahead
To acquiesce to your strange mood
Our love was just a fading song
My ego must continue on
Not look behind me as I go
And once again renew the spark
