Cell Phone
So much that I did not know existed,
That I could easily have lived without,
Here in my hand so concisely listed.
I’m sure I need it all, without a doubt.
This here device I keep in my pocket
Leads me to wanting. I can’t get enough.
My every wish, this will unlock it.
Bringing me more and more unhealthy stuff.
Don’t get me wrong, there is still a good side
But it’s very small compared to the bad.
Makes me a monster, jealously green-eyed
Forgetting to treasure all that I’ve had.
Each day that passes I more clearly see
This phone that I own, it really owns me.
