Celestial

You clipped me
You clipped my wings
I used to be an angel
Majestic celestial being
But I couldn't just sing
I wanted to lead
I used to shine so much
you wanted me dim
A tree in the forest
Just fit in
But that was not me
A star of my system
Created on the third day
I was not from rib
Created from the word great
I am not from clay
You should have seen my wings
But you were not on scene
You cannot believe
you could not believe in me
You want to see yourself in me
So you clipped me
I need to learn?
You couldn't teach
I need humility?
I hurt your pride
By being free
By being me
But Me I am
I am Me
Fallen to dust
Building myself I am gene
Waiting for my wings to gleam
Once the wound heals
The blood coalesce
My light will light the world again
My voice will heal the sick
My love will be free
And no one will ever kneel
