Celebrate His Birth
A special star traveled across the sky,
as three wise men followed it from the east.
And its pathway led them to Bethlehem,
to a stable, housing, both man and beast.
In a manger, they beheld the Christ Child,
and told Mary and Joseph who they were.
They paid the babe homage, offering gifts
of fine gold, fragrant frankincense, and myrrh.
Unlike any child they had ever seen,
this one was the King they had come to see.
And shepherds left their flocks to go to Him,
for the Son Of God filled their hearts with glee.
We celebrate His birth on Christmas day,
for Christ was born, to take our sins away.
