Besides the surface meaning of escape mechanism, I see a deeper meaning too. There is a stark difference in the way some choose living. While some wallow in dirt and filth some others stay up in comfort ! Great metaphor of life!

Stark and brutally wild Lasaad, the blunt language used here is perfect for the bleak natural effect, that’s needed for a great haiku, so imaginative yet direct, cheers David

I really like this Lasaad. Often after a rain around here I see the birds in the grass under the trees going after the huge red worms that come up to get out of the water. Love the pic. God Bless, JB
