Cause I Was Absent

Morning shine of that
day I did not see on
the lotus petals

Frogs were swimming
on the crystal water
of pond in absence of me

Under the hyacinth’s roots
fry fishes were playing
hide and seek game
in absence of me

Ducks were coming
bathing, swimming
on pond water in
absence of me

Snails were hiding
themselves from the
jaw of ducks in
absence of me

Pigeon couples were
walking with white clouds
and were making love
in absence of me

My sleeping brought you
in the sweet garden
of earth to make love
but I’s not there

Lac-dyeing and tinkling
ringed feet of you attracted
me in light drowning water
but I’s not there

With blue lustrous dream
for a piece of glittering sun
I saw on your lips and arms
in absence of me

Drones and butterflies were
coming in our garden, mocking
us on the true sense of honey
in true absence of me

In absence of me the garden
of earth, the pond and you
were the pure combination
of beauty in my poetic sense
but I couldn’t grip It at last

I couldn’t be grateful to God
cause I ‘s there but in absent
mood; so I couldn’t feel these
within me

In your 'absence' -- every fibre of you, and your poesy, is abundantly present. A beautiful write, Mahtab! Best wishes, Gershon
