Causality

What is this void you try to fill, A void empty yet stuffed with society's swill, Stark emotions driven by dopamine, Scrounging for joy on a subconscious mezzanine, Started all by a demented serpent's lie, If you eat it's fruit, you will not die, Followed by a sin that affected all humanity, Which even caused this void of insanity.

Your poem Causality has a strong, thought-provoking rhythm and a deep philosophical weight. The imagery of an "empty yet stuffed" void is striking, capturing the paradox of modern existence--people seeking fulfillment in artificial means, yet remaining unsatisfied. The reference to dopamine and subconscious levels adds a psychological layer, while the biblical allusion to the serpent's lie ties it all back to the idea of original sin and human downfall.
