Caught

I intend to be distant for as long as possible.

Because if I get too close I will be captured.

By the ones I love.

They say I am in crisis.

As they approach.

But they are in more distress than me it seems.

As I feel fine.

They say I should be embarrassed.

They say I am a living shame.

When the real shame is how I’ve been treated.

As an outcast.

As a criminal.

I have committed-

No.

I have been committed.

As they have decided on my fate in unison.

That my passion is final.
