Cattails

I enter the solstice to hear snow falling where winter leads the way Along a childhood memory snow labored painfully sweeping the landscape with heavy shoulders of white surrender It seemed a great distance from Grandmother’s house to the barn where the icy sky bellowed a deep freeze over shivering fields of forgotten cattails ----------------------------------------- from my sixth book-length manuscript ©dah / dahlusion 2013, 2016 a.r.r. “Cattails” was first published in ‘Jelllyfish Whispers’ a literary magazine
