Catching Stars

I, too, dream of catching stars.

I'm the unassuming one.
You see me hiding in the background
With hope in my eyes
And despair upon my lips.
I laugh,
I cry,
But I sing along
With tears rolling down my cheeks.

Today I am a dreamer.
Tomorrow I hope to be the dream
Carried on by the youth of the world.
I aspire,
I hope to inspire,
And when I find the fire,
I hope to burn brighter
Than any star in the sky.

I may never be a star,
but I'll be something more.

I, too, dream of catching stars.
