Catch Me

I lose my balance
and begin to fall,
a backwards glance,
perhaps that's all

A look ahead,
too far, so fast
from back to front,
from future to past

I spin, I plummet
from off the summit,
so high we are,
we've climbed so far

And yet, I'm here
still standing fast,
I've not yet fallen
so far at last

You catch me
and you break my fall,
you hold me up
and I stand tall

Hi David, I like your verses. And you have meaningful rhyming too. I like the double meaning in this poem, I love it when a write calls for some thinking. It's great!

Thank you Eileen....it was a thank you to someone very dear to me who held on to my hand at the end of a very painful and trying week... David
