Catastrophe
Catastrophe
The quiet noise stood still
As a rumbling ensued underfoot
Droplets of rain danced
On my scalp
On my brain
A wave splashed
And tickled my toes
A wrinkle on my forehead
A crease on my nose
Lightening struck
Catastrophe broke
I sighed deeply
The emptiness of a pause
I drew from the well a breath
For doubt
For uncertainty
It drizzled
A shadow of daylight
A torch
A baton
A discipline
Hands to hips
Struggle overcome
