Catalysts of Life

Clouds thunder, roar aloud when I arrive, Pray, who if not me, life should love by heart? If too early should I choose to depart, Who’s missed more? Thanks to me Earth’s all alive. If sun sustains, nor yet air renders breath, If seasons stop arriving on safe wings, What good off-season rains showering blessings? Hath a bare single hand ever giveth? Let whistling winds with dancing notes fill air, And droplets of rain kiss a hopeful face, Yet, if sun’s smiling face fails to surface, No single hand ever can, how so rare. None of us can render life all the aid, With alchemy so rare life’s sees is made. __________________________________________ Sonnets | 01.08.2016 revised June 2023 | life Poet’s note: It is hard to choose just one single factor that makes Earth so unique. Many ideal and rare conditions have resulted in life on earth. All contribute in their unique way. There is an alchemy of so many favourable factors enabling life to arise and prosper. The seed of life is contributed by them all. Search of life on exoplanets has identified many unique conditions available on Earth. In this sonnet rain rushes to put forward its claim, others to, but the truth lies elsewhere.
