Casualty

in an early morn, I chanced
upon you, as I traveled
to meet the unbeknownst.

you’re a comfort;
and, there’s no such adjective
to describe how I felt, with you.

yet, splashing my thought
has taken by you, without delight
neither, there’s adjective, for it.

the unwanted paradigm
seems to be, that by unwrapping
myself, to you, as best or simple

it may be,
is to believe
that both, you and me, became

the mere casualty,
of an early morn’s stress;
still, the sun rises up!
