Casual Encounter

Starless sky Two fire-flies Drunk and high Waltzed while no one watched. Eye locked and pandering they just can't stand it, to leave well enough alone, situations facing malevolent half-tones. Skating on ice in the form of her name tracing the ups and downs we fell through again. I'm alone Not really; all gone. Have crayons to write notes, scribed on the windshields next to the morning-jar faces.

I love the imagery of the fireflies clinging to each other, Peter. We used to catch them and put them in jars too. The verse about skating on ice is my favorite. To me it suggests the fragility of love. Very interesting poem - thought provoking would be an understatement. Awesome! Love, Carolyn
