Trading places with the King, looked like a sure thing ! Your ploy to keep the king from harm, worked like a charm. Glad the title wasn't Rook, think how strange that would look. We would all be looking if it was "rooking" . Congrats Anaya. Terrific take on the subject and presentation was Champion.

Ah, Speaks, you are a delight for sore eyes. Y e s s, in chess the rook is the piece and can castle (the move) to keep its king safer. You've said so eloquently in rhyme, and your humor-laughingly. Tyvm Wen, I appreciate you !

I played when I was young. I did get into some very intense games. It requires a lot of thought. There was a series on Netflix a few years ago about a woman chess champion--the queens gambit. I watched all the episodes and enjoyed it very much. Smiles!!

"the queens gambit" i saw it, a favorite--amazing how she would see the chess game on her ceiling, she was a natural. Loved it. I play on my phone go to chess.com yep that easy...

Anaya, continuing the theme. This is a lot of fun. Comparing the game to life leads to some very interesting possibilities. If you're standing up for what you believe in, that really counts for something in terms of character and ethics. Wonderful really.
