Castaway
As I stand upon the shore
Waving goodbye without belief
A mixture of emotions
Churns away into the sea
I'm happy that your pain is gone
The pressure has been relieved
But you have no idea, what it's doing to me
Lift a sullen anchor
Climb out of the foamy sea
Navigate to a life
Better than there is for me
Castaway on the ocean
Sail into my dreams
The memories of you,
won't be enough for me
Living with salty regrets
The tears that I have shed
Piecing this life back together
Isn't as easy as they said
Treading water around me,
Can't find a single clue
What I'm looking for, or where I'm going
When all I need in this world is you
Tangled in the seaweed
Strands of dread and doubt
Am I strong enough to carry this weight
Or should I sail with you now
Take me to where you're going
Under this fiery setting sky
Take me to a place without woe,
and leave these people behind
Lift a sullen anchor
Climb out of the foamy sea
Navigate to a life
Better than there is for me
Castaway on the ocean
Sail into my dreams
The memories of you,
won't be enough for me
Deserted upon this shore
Stranded with the pain
A castaway that will remain,
until I can climb aboard
But I'm happy that your pain is gone
And for that I am relieved
Sail away alone now,
and don't look back for me
