Cascade From the Skies

I watched stars cascade from the skies
Like little lies bursting from the ether
And I've run out of paper to burn
Surrounded by trolls and fake concern

If opening my mouth is like opening a wound
I'll stitch my lips together until my eyes bleed
Looking into the past when I look in the mirror
Because each time I look death seems nearer

The direction I spin is random
Jumping like a frog to a new lily pad
I don't think about what I leave behind
Until I look back and want to rewind

I watched stars cascade from the skies
Bursting like every loved one I've lost lately
And I've run out of tears to shed
Wondering if I'll be next to be dead
