Cartoon Jamboree

We could fly away to a whole new world
Like Jasmine and Aladdin
Futuristic life like the Jetsons
Would you climb to the highest tower and
Rescue me, like Prince Charming
A hero is what I seek, kind and true
Show me how much I mean to you

Beauty and beast lived a fairy tale
If only real life could end so well
One can only hope to be awakened like Snow White
And have a lasting love and feel completely alive
Marge and Homer managed to make it last
Just like the Flintstones in the past
Mickey and Minnie make a perfect pair
Will we say the same or will love fade in despair?

Cinderella had a fairy godmother to lead the way
I only have hope that I can find someone to stay
He-Man was so strong, Batman could do anything
In this world, there are no heroes only villainy
No family guys no more all-American dads
Just road runners chasing anything they can’t have
I’ve been turning inside out to get in touch with
All these emotions
I must have faith that my superman will find his way
To me and profess his devotion
But this all make believe, my own story of cartoons
In a Jamboree
