Carpetbagger
I’m gonna go out and protest
Got nuthin’ better to do
I wanna go cause some unrest
‘Cause I got no point of view
I graduated last in my class
No prospects on the horizon
Livin’ in Mom and Dad’s basement
With mounting bills from Verizon
I got no business bein’ here
Pretending that I really care
Got no ideals or direction
But the media want me there
I’ll light a few fires, throw some rocks
‘Cause that’s how history’s done
In time, they’ll see what a difference I made
I’ll be known by everyone
No I got no time for invention
Enlightenment or art
The days of waiting are over
Leave it to the Boomer old-farts
I talk about Reconstruction
But I’m only here to scorch the earth
My generation craves direction
Each epoch aims to mark its birth
It’s time for the Revolution
So lemme put on my hood
If you see me comin’, better move on
I’m here for the collective good
I’m here for the collective good
I’m here for the collective good
I’m here for the Collective
