Notes About The Poem

Behold,

the fowl of the air; for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather in barns;  yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.  Are you not much better than they?

The Gospel According to Saint Matthew, Chapter 6:26

Carpe Diem - Each Breath

Live each day and each precious moment, like it is your last and your last breath of life; for tomorrow is not promised- we have heard this, life can be gone in the blink of an eye, in a flash; let all your resentments and your failures go, do not take take them into your new existence; be it heavenly or some other realm you believe in, yes, live each day like the birds in the trees; happy for just one more day, to sing and fly. ____________________ March 7, 2020 Poetry/Carpe Diem/Each Breath Copyright Protected, ID 20-1233-778-03 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Submitted to Strand 700 Contest sponsor, Brian Strand Honorable Mention

You have condensed my philosophy into a poem, Constance, and I love it, a fav for me. “What day is it?” asked Pooh. / “It’s today,” squeaked Piglet. / “My favorite day,” said Pooh.” hugs ~ John
