Carole King

Carole King was quite the thing
And she didn't need to sing.
She wrote every word
That you would have heard
Before you had that fling!

She could make you sad,
She could make you glad.
She was no ****
But you know what?
She could make you mad!

She inspired me to write
Many words with all my might;
But compared to her
I was just a blur
Passing in the dead of night.
