Carnival

CARNIVAL

Color and music
The distant noise of the crowd
“Carnival!” he cries
“Daddy won’t you take me there?”
He can’t deny his sick child

We don't have such events here, I am sure they must be fun. Always feels good to read your stuff.

A beautiful Tanka dear poet ! So much to ponder sir, in this write. ....I'm stuck on expression at this time...it's jovial, yet sad. Blessings to you Dave....much love, james

A touching write, Daver. Feels like a gentle whisper in my mind. Sound and revelry, but I can still feel that child at the back of my mind. Wishing you and yours the best! Love, Mikki

Aww, this is really sad, Daver. There is a group that arranges special trips to Disney World and other spots for children who are sick. I couldn't help but think how important these efforts are as I read your wonderful poem. Much love always, carolyn
