Caress of the Rain

The rain fell creating raindrops on the windowpane,
Caressing the walkers by with dampness.

The pedestrians would walk with their beautiful umbrellas,
Keeping them protected from the weather.

Her handsome prince came out from the rainy weather,
The princess wished to hug him, they were good friends.

Can't hug me today he said I am soaking wet,
She looked at him sadly, maybe another day.

The gentle rain subsided and the beautiful sunshine appeared,
The daily story continued to be written.

Romance at this age was highly unlikely she thought,
She and her handsome prince stayed friends.

When the sunny weather came she would sit on the bench,
Memories of sitting their with friends and conversation.

However sad the weather made you, she thought of the good memories,
Blessed by God on this rainy day , looking through the window.
