Careless Mistake
I put myself in danger
I covered up the bruises
I spread more lies
I protected you
My family turned against me
They knew what was going on
But they threw me to the ground
My mother told me
This is something i just have to deal with
My bruises will heal
I just had to survive this somehow
That's when i knew i was alone
No one was coming to save me
If it came down to it
I'll have to fight for my own life
I'll have to get used to standing alone
