Careless

You don't care about my tension and hurt
You're like an insect, clinging on to my shirt
I feel like I'm falling in love with sadness
I feel the urge to cry out for mere gladness

You don't care about me at all
I'll just smile, nod and stand tall
I don't want to serve as your burden
You just don't care if I'm constantly hurtin'

You're careless
You're lonely and scared
You're afraid regardless
Of feeling utterly unprepared
You're careless
You're insecure and sad
You're feeling hopeless
Filled with dread that I never had
Filled with dread that makes me feel bad
Filled with dread that makes me mad

You don't care about my safety's sake
You don't mind if I'm about to break
I cry tears of sorrow...more or less
There's no tomorrow...only loneliness
Feeling helpless and worthless

You smoked me out like your last cigarette
I told you not to use me carelessly with regret
I'm clearly upset...
I need an outlet
