Careful Confessions

Day in and day out
Trying to settle on what I should do now
The moon rises, the sun sets
Hoping everything suddenly somehow
Falls in place

As far as the eye can see
Under your command
I wann be your guardian
When all is crumbling
I wanna steady your hand

No matter what I say or do
I'll still feel you here 'til the moment I'm gone.
You hold me without touch
You keep me without chains
I never wanted anything so much
Than to drown in your love and not feel your rain.

It's like I live here on my knees
Trying to make you see
That you're everything I think I need here
You're neither friend nor foe
Though I can't seem to let you go

You're onto me and all over me
I thought that I was strong
But you touch me for a little while
And all my fragile strength is gone

Seems like I met you in the dark
Then you lit me up
You made me feel as though
I was enough

I knew I loved you then
But you'd never know
Cuz I played it cool when I was scared of letting go
I knew I needed you
But I never showed
But I wanna stay with you
Until we're ugly and old.
