Care

She still cares,
Not for him, but for herself.

She still holds on,
Not onto him, but onto her own happiness.

She makes amends
With the apology she'll never receive.

She was a pawn, played, used, abused.

She held her own
Even through all the tears.

She knows when to call it quits
But she'll never just give up.

She was strong
Correction, she is strong.

Though she may not forgive
For he whom has wronged her, wrongs another

She has the will and strength,
She can forget.

For she still knows joy,
Not in him, but within herself.
