cardinal rests
in a dogwood
red tulips

mockingbird sings
from a willow branch
alto

sparrow hatchlings
chirping for breakfast
golden sky

a dove coos 
to her mate from pine branch
soft interlude

trickling brook
on the mountainside
duck chatter
