Car Windshield

The sun is shining The sky is blue. Little did I know I’d see you. I’m waiting to cross the street, My mind focused on my schedule. Going through it in my head, it looks like I’m not going to make it to bed. I get the signal, time to walk. I’m strolling across, then there’s this knock-knock. I turn and look— It’s her, waiving at me through a car windshield. Her beautiful smile shining through a car windshield. Her brown eyes looking into my soul. I wave back with a giant smile, But in that moment, that little beautiful extraordinary moment, She grasped my heart through a car windshield.
