Captured Thoughts

I stood and gazed across the hills afar Breeze captured my thoughts in a snap I know just where they’ll reach the guitar As I listened to the water tap Happy that you would be seeing too Breeze captured my thoughts in a snap Carried them straight through skies so blue Each breath of cool air, brought me relief Happy that you would be seeing too I know what it is, my strong belief It’s as though I have lived this before Each breath of cool air brought me relief I can see your welcome at the door My soul and thoughts love to rise and soar It’s as though I have lived this before I will not forget this anymore I stood and gazed across the hills afar My soulful thoughts, love to rise and soar I know just where they’ll reach the guitar Heidi Sands 10/4/19

Beautiful poem, Heidi!:-) I'm impressed by your versatility. You write in many forms alien to me! I don't know why I haven't tried a Terzanelle before. One of these days, Heidi...one of these days! lol

Thank you Edward. I used to only write free verse and rhyme in my life, before this site. I have enjoyed learning new forms. I hope you give it a try! :)

That was really cool Heidi. I don;t know how you do this, I can barely keep my thoughts straight when writing a normal poem but to weave lines like this and still have it coming out with a meaning, wow. Well done my friend.
