Captain On the Deck

How did I get up here?
My mind is wandering cause mummy had to disappear
Leaving me with her red umbrella with white spots
It reminds me of my favourite lolly-pop

What is this water passing me by?
It seems to be falling from the sky
The drops clattering above my head
As I look through the umbrella they seem to be coloured red

There’s a rainbow over there like the one in my favourite book
The one mummy reads about Captain Hook
I feel like I’m captain of my ship standing on this bench
Fighting the pirates and taking my revenge

The grass is waving like the stormiest sea
With waves crashing into the bench trying to drown me
But they will not win because I am the captain of this ship
My red and white spotted umbrella will be used as my bargaining chip

I can see mummy coming from afar to save me
I can see her beautiful dress being blown carefree
By the howling wind blowing all around
To save me and crew from running aground
