Capitalism Dilemma

Clawed eyes bleeding the red acid of tears Anguished hearts with piper's music in their ears Pleasures throves of greed and selfishness Indicts our vision of the citadel's shining Towards a better promise of togetherness. Anxieties mounts against Babel's towers rising Lattitude to pain, when will the chrysallis from Imago change again to butterfly Ships can dare, but captain beware this doldrum Masking the Bermuda Triangle from your eye. Denial is vain when some have piled more In worth than life can spend. Something is wrongly Listed here, more than greed rots at the core Emotionless, hearts uncreed of empathy Messianic foundation broken before the towers fell Mammom cankering the apple with hell Apathy cannot endure against the ego's fear.

Dear L'nass Shango, I'm new on this site and I've already learned new things just by being here. I have read several of your poems and love the richness and depth that exudes from every line. Thank you. Daneann

This was a wonderful write and I relate very much to this, I LOVED this, very intelligent, and by the way what my dog runs from is "butterflies", I know I know, but she's very protective of the kids and me and my family and I love her so very much, she is a part of the family actually, thank you for the comments on my poetry....Aleera

~cont~because of our inhibitions and also (unfortunately) due to life's circumstances or our willingness to use them as an excuse. Knowledge+Self-Discovery+SEIZING opportunity=Greatness Opportunity is like a single feather wafting in the breeze...we must jump and snatch it from the wind if we are ever to fly like birds!! Much love, Steve

L'nass, this is an outstanding write on the excesses we surround ourselves with. When is enough ever enough?? The words are cutting and true...and I agree with every one of them!! I'm glad you commented on my work as I was able to discover yours...you write with liquid profundity and a keen sense of surroundings...Im a fan! To answer your question...Greatness is all the things you asked if it may be...I think that most often the potential isn't realized~cont~
